PYGMY CAVE EXPLORATION 2 DAYS 1 NIGHT

In case you don’t know, the number of people has stood on Everest peak less than those who have conquered Pygmy Cave. Being a freshly established trail, this route is an authentic jungle trek to the 4th largest cave in the world. You’ll trek, swim, and camp in the unspoiled regions of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.

Long pants and long-sleeved shirt to wear during the trek (easy to dry)

Short and t-shirt to wear at campsite (warm clothes in winter)

1 pair of trekking boots/shoes – difficult terrain, good footwear necessary

1 pair of flip flop (sandals) for campsite

Medium size towel and swim wear

1 -2 pairs of calf length densely woven socks

1st day : PHONG NHA – HANG OVER – PYGMY CAVE

Depart from the headquarter, we will brief you & the team on what to expect and check that everyone is prepared. After driving to Phong Nha national park, we will say goodbye to the last piece of humanity and begin our journey.

While walking through the jungle, our tour guide will provide you with some useful information: local plant life, evidences of the minority people culture – how they survive and take advantage of jungle resources and some tasty treats of the jungle.

Have lunch on the trail with cucumber and other snacks. Keep moving to reach the Hang Over cave. Trek 3.2km through the cave to reach the magnificent exit inside Hang Over.

Continue a further 300m trek through tropical jungle to Pygmy cave – little sister of Son Doong Cave. Go caving 800m inside the cave while the porter team sets up camp and prepare mouthwatering dinner.

2nd day : PYGMY CAVE – PHONG NHA

After breakfast, get your belongings then we will depart camp location for our trekking back home.

On the way trek home, we will stop and break a few times for light snack, as well as take in the majestic jungle valley you hiked out of.

As exiting the jungle trail, enjoy refreshing cold drinks at roadside at the 24th km like a celebration when you completed your adventure.

End your challenging journey and transfer you back to your hotel in Phong Nha.
